Tree dedications

It costs $1,000 (plus HST) to dedicate a tree along with a standardized dedication plaque. We will plant and maintain a 50 to 60 mm tree as part of each dedication.

Spring planting

If you would like to plant a tree in the spring, we need to receive your application before March 31. We offer the following tree options in the spring:

  • Birch
  • Black Willow
  • Butternut
  • Horse Chestnut
  • Japanese Lilac
  • Little Leaf Linden
  • Oak
  • Red Maple
  • Silver Maple
  • Sugar Maple
  • Walnut
  • White Pine
  • White Spruce

Fall planting

If you would like to plant a tree in the fall, we need your application by September 15. We offer the following tree options in the fall:

  • Japanese Lilac
  • Little Leaf Linden
  • Red Maple
  • Sugar Maple

Dedicate a Trail Plaque 

The Township of Uxbridge offers a Plaque Dedication and Donation Program by dedicating a plaque within the Countryside Preserve Trail, Brookdale Trail, South Balsam Trail, or Barton Trail. Consider commemorating a special event or loved one, honouring the service of members or staff, or creating a corporate dedication. Each 4"x5" metal plaque is finished with wood grain background, gold lettering and border and affixed to a post found on the maps of the Uxbridge Trails.   Go for a hike today to pick your post location! All funds raised will be used specifically for Uxbridge trails. 

Bench Dedications

It costs $3,500 (plus HST) to dedicate a bench with an inscription plaque placed in the centre of the backrest. The standard bench is made of enameled steel with seat and back rest that is anchored on a concrete pad.  If you would like to dedicate a bench, we need your application by September 15.
