Council Highlights for April 24, 2023:

Province Announces Plans for Urban Provincial Park in Uxbridge
Members of Council attended a Provincial announcement on Earth Day at which the Province pledged to create an urban provincial park in the Township of Uxbridge. The Province committed up to 1,315 acres of Provincial land to the park and is looking for public and private partners to add additional conservation lands to the park. The park is a concept and public consultation will take place to help determine which amenities might be offered. The Township Urban Park webpage has a link to a survey to collect feedback from the public.

Rockin Racoon Ride Pedalling through Township in May
Council supported the request of the Rockin Racoon Foundation to hold a charity bike ride in support of area food banks. The ride will take place on rural roads on May 28th.

Earth Day Clean Up a Success
Council thanked the many volunteers who worked to collect garbage and debris in parks, on trails and on roadsides.

Township passes By-law Authorizing Sale of Former Fire Hall
Council passed a by-law as a final step in the in the process to sell the property at 17 Bascom St.
