Council Highlights for October 3, 2022:

Halloween Parade to March through Elgin Park
The Uxbridge Lions Club proposal to host a fundraising Halloween Parade through Elgin Park was approved by Council. The event will take place Oct 30, 2022 at 2pm.
Region Releases 2021 Census Information for Durham Region
The Region released 2021 Census population data.
Uxbridge Legion to Launch Poppy Campaign Fundraiser
Council approved a request for residents to erect lawn signs in support of the 2022 Uxbridge Legion Poppy Campaign.
Film Crew Returns to Uxbridge
Council approved a request for a noise by law exemption by law to permit filming of a TV show near the Roxy Theatre between Oct. 13 and 15, 2022.
Accessibility Advisory Committee revises Terms of Reference
Council adopted the revised Terms of Reference for the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Uxpool Ceiling Repairs Taking Place in Late December
After much discussion, Council approved a tender bid to replace ceiling tiles in Uxpool . The pool will be closed while work is completed. Work is expected to take place between December 12, 2022 to January 6, 2023. Council also requested a report from staff on the full repairs and maintenance required at Uxpool to keep it running.
