The Township of Uxbridge has recently completed work to improve accessibility at the Sandford Community Centre by installing new accessible doors and upgrading the washrooms to a new accessible standard.

The project was made possible with an Enabling Accessibility Fund grant of $92,239 from the Federal Government. MP Jennifer O’Connell was on-site on Aug. 29th to officially open the new washrooms and announce the funding.

“Accessibility is so incredibly important, and these improvements are a necessity for a busy place like the Sandford Community Centre.” stated Mayor Dave Barton. “I would like to thank MP O’Connell for her continued support and the Federal Government for the funding to help us improve accessibility.”

The facility improvements have been welcomed by the regular users of the Hall.
