Uxbridge Youth Centre Receives $50,000 from Durham Region to Expand Youth Programming

September 11 2026

September 10, 2026 – The Township of Uxbridge is pleased to congratulate the Uxbridge Youth Centre on receiving $50,000 from the Region of Durham’s Thriving Communities Fund, within the Community Social Investment Program (CSIP).

The funding will support the Youth Centre’s Youth Pathways to Thriving Futures project, which will expand structured programming for local youth in areas including employment readiness, mental health, food and life skills, and youth leadership. The investment will also strengthen the organization’s capacity to help reduce poverty-related barriers and create greater opportunities for youth in the community.

The Thriving Communities Fund supports local non-profit organizations undertaking operational and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen their ability to deliver programs and services to residents. The Uxbridge Youth Centre is one of 11 organizations receiving funding through this year’s program.

The Township of Uxbridge congratulates the Uxbridge Youth Centre on this important investment and recognizes the valuable role the organization plays in supporting local youth and building a stronger, more connected community.
