With over 300km of trails, Uxbridge is designated the Trail Capital of Canada. The trail system within the Township of Uxbridge sees over 100,000 visitors annually and this number is predicted to grow. The Trail Sustainability Project was created to fund enhanced services and amenities such as garbage collection, trail and parking maintenance and washrooms, all of which come with an increase in trail traffic. Shoppers and visitors have a new way to travel between downtown Uxbridge and the Farmer’s Market on Sundays. The Town Trolley will be hosting free rides to the Uxbridge Farmers’ Market (85 Herrema Blvd.), Uxbridge Historical Centre (7239 Conc. 6) and Elgin Park (180 Main St. S.).
Continuous departures will take place from the rear parking lot at 23 Brock St. W. (near the Brock St. Parkette) from 9:30am-1:00pm. Signage will be placed indicating the location of the pick-up sites downtown.
