The Township of Uxbridge BIA received a non-repayable contribution of $100,000 from Central Counties Tourism to boost economic viability of the downtown by provide a welcoming experience for visitors. Driving Economic Development to BIA Merchants Through the Après Trail App Pilot

With over 300km of trails, Uxbridge is designated the Trail Capital of Canada. The trail system within the Township of Uxbridge sees over 100,000 visitors annually and this number is predicted to grow. The Trail Sustainability Project was created to fund enhanced services and amenities such as garbage collection, trail and parking maintenance and washrooms, all of which come with an increase in trail traffic. Uxbridge to Host Film Crew Sept 14-17 on Brock St. W.

Uxbridge is hosting a film shoot for the television production The Way Home. The film crew will be in town for set up on Wed. Sept. 14th and Thursday Sept. 15th. Production crews will be working inside and outside of the Roxy Theater (46 Brock St. W.). Some production vehicles will be parked in the Centennial Park lot, and some will be parked in the Brock St. municipal lot. Additional crew parking will take place at the South end of Elgin Park.
