Durham Region has moved from the customer self-assessment (TeleRead) water meter card program to full water meter readings by Meter Readers. This eliminates the need for customers to provide readings and reduced the number of estimated bills. The decrease in estimated bills will help identify plumbing issues sooner, reducing high bills—ultimately saving customers money, improving customer service and preventing water loss.
