To meet the Durham Region Public Health requirements, we are limiting the number of users in our pool at any one time. We have implemented rules for users and continue with our cleaning procedures to help reduce the spread of the virus.

Memberships and pay-as-you-go will be accepted for admission. All swimmers must book their swim time in advance. We are offering limited programming and will be updating our programming schedules frequently to respond to user requests.

Pool users are not required to wear a facemask when in the building - they are optional for all visitors. Change rooms are available before and after the swimming session to change out of wet bathing suits. Showers are now open to the public.

Screening

Prior to entry to Uxpool, passive screening by all individuals entering the facility is required. Please refer to the screening posters either on the front door or on the Durham Region Health Department website prior to entry. Screening is not conducted by staff.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What happens if I miss my swim time?

If you are late for your appointment time, you can enter the pool but will only be allowed to stay until the end of your original appointment. This allows staff to clean before the next round of swimmers arrives. If you miss your appointment you will have to rebook another time.

What should I expect when I come to the pool?

You must already have your bathing suit on when you arrive at the pool. No change rooms are available to put your swimming suit on.
Please enter through the Main doors on Parkside Dr. Masks are optional as per Health Department directives. Check in at the Front Desk and sanitize your hands.
After removing your street shoes and leaving them in the lobby, you may use the change rooms to change or go directly onto the pool deck. You may shower off using the deck shower or the change room showers. Please wait until the start of your appointed swim time to enter the water - you may be assigned a lane or a position by a staff member.

What COVD-19 measures are in place to protect users?

Visitors are asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the building. The chlorine in the pool will kill the virus and render it inactive so it cannot be transmitted through the water. Staff may wear masks and eye protection when walking/standing on the deck and will maintain a physical distance from users.

What will happen to the membership fees I have already paid?

We have reinstated memberships. All memberships were placed on hold and extended during the closure.

How can I pay for my swimming session?

You will have noticed that you registration for fitness programs shows a balance of zero. This will allow you to use either your membership or pay-as-you-go options. Payment is due upon entry to the pool. We accept credit card, debit, cash and cheque.
