The Inclusive Multi-Sport Court is located in Bonner Fields, 21 Capstick Lane. With facilities and washrooms open daily from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., May through October, the Jumpstart Inclusive Multi-Sport Court is designed for a variety of sports and allows accessible programming for all ages. The court opened in the fall of 2021.
The courts are configured to enable users to play a variety sports and para-sports. Supported sports include:
- Basketball
- Pickleball
- Sitting Volleyball
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Wheelchair Basketball
- Wheelchair Tennis
- Ball Hockey
- Badminton
Some of the Multi-Sport Court's accessible features include:
- 13,200 square feet
- Adjustable basketball nets
- High-contrast four-square court and hopscotch play area
- Contrasting colours to support visual impairment
- Shaded double-wide benches for improved accessibility
- Wheelchair-accessible seating and tables
- Shaded accessible bleachers
- Cushion-comfort Plus Laykold acrylic surfacing system
- Court Lighting
The Jumpstart Inclusive Multi-Sport Court has been generously donated by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the local Uxbridge Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity. The multi-sport court is part of the Jumpstart Charities’ Inclusive Play project, which focuses on inclusive infrastructure and programming to help give Canadian kids of all abilities access to sport and play.
