The Township, in partnership with the Age-Friendly Committee, is hosting an Active Living Fair for community members 55+. Join the committee on Friday, October 3rd from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre (75 Marietta Street).

This free community event is an opportunity for older adults to explore the many ways to stay active, healthy, and engaged in Uxbridge. Whether you are looking to try a new activity or learn about public services, there are plenty of resources for everyone.

There are 3 main pillars to discover at this event: activities, information, and connection.

Stay Active: Learn about fitness classes, recreational programs, and outdoor opportunities.

Stay Informed: Meet with representatives from the Township Departments like the Fire Hall, UxPool, and Library.

Stay Connected: Discover clubs, volunteer opportunities, and social groups that keep our older adults young at heart.

The fair will include a guest speaker presentation by Debra Popa from Knowledgeflow.org who will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is likely already integrated into your daily life. She will also discuss how scammers are using AI to target seniors. This engaging speaker event will be held at the fair from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

There will be giveaways, light refreshments, and friendly faces from across the community. There is no registration required, simply drop in and bring a friend.

Let’s celebrate living well, ageing well, and enjoying more!
