NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONSIDER REMOVAL OF A HOLDING SYMBOL FROM THE ZONING BY-LAW

The Council for the Township of Uxbridge is considering an amendment to the Township Zoning By-law 81-19 for the lands shown on the Key Map which is enclosed with this notice for ease of reference. The requested change is described below:

LOCATION:                         

CERTAIN LANDS LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE BROCK STREET WEST, EAST OF TORONTO STREET SOUTH, UXBRIDGE COMPRISING OF:

  •  34 BROCK ST. W. - PCL UXBRIDGE – PLAN 83-587-3, SEC COUNTY OF ONTARIO; PT LOT 587 BLK PPP, MUNICIPAL PL 83 FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF UXBRIDGE, REGION OF DURHAM, PT 6 40R1047; T/W PT 7, 40R1047 AS IN UX7136 AND CO152974;
  •  36 BROCK ST. W. – PCL PLAN 83-587-5, SEC UXBRIDGE; PT LOT 587 BLK PPP, PL 83 FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF UXBRIDGE REGION OF DURHAM, PTS 3, 4 AND 5 40R1047; T/W PT 7 40R1047 AS IN UX7136 AND CO152974.

EFFECT:   

To remove the Holding (H) Symbol from the subject lands, which are currently zoned “Holding Downtown Commercial Exception No. 2 ((H)C3-2) Zone”.

The purpose of the Holding Symbol for the C3-2 Zone is to ensure that:

THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Uxbridge shall not remove the Holding (H) Symbol from the Holding Downtown Commercial Exception No. 2 ((H)C3-2) Zone on the lands which are the subject of this by-law until the following conditions have been complied with:

  1. A Site Plan Agreement pursuant to the Planning Act to the satisfaction of the Township of Uxbridge;
  2. All necessary approvals from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, and any conditions of the Authority have been appropriately incorporated into the Site Plan Agreement and financially secured, all to the satisfaction of the Township and confirmed in writing to the Township;
  3. All other approvals respecting the development of the lands from all applicable Township, Regional and Provincial agencies and Ministries have been received and confirmed writing to the Township.

HOW TO COMMENT:             
Council of the Township of Uxbridge will not hear representations from the public on this matter. However, additional information relating to the proposed Township Zoning By-law Amendment can be requested from the Development Services Department at Town Hall or via email, mail or telephone from.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council for the Township of Uxbridge will consider a By-law to remove the Holding symbol pursuant to Section 36 of the Plan Act, R.S.O.1990,C.P.13, no earlier than MONDAY, MAY 13, 2024.
