Back to SearchThe Canada Day Committee is excited to announce the return of the Canada Day Decorating Contest! Originally introduced in 2020 as an alternative to the fireworks display, the contest was revived last year with great success. The Committee has decided to continue this tradition as a way to celebrate and showcase our community’s Canadian pride.
The prize for winning will be a free family pass to the 2025 Uxbridge Fall Fair. The winner will also be invited to join the committee for the flag raising and singing of the national anthem at the Canada Day Celebration in Elgin Park.
To enter the contest:
- Decorate your house, lawn, family, or pets for Canada Day
- Email a photo of your decorations to events@uxbridge.ca by June 29th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
- Include your name and phone number in your submission email
The winner will be chosen at random from the pool of submissions and will be notified on June 30th, 2025.
By participating in this contest and submitting a photo, each entrant agrees to provide the Township of Uxbridge with the non-exclusive rights to use their images for future use. Participants agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this contest.
By accepting the Contest prize, the winner: (a) confirms compliance with these Contest rules; (b) acknowledges that the prize is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded or otherwise except where stated; (c) consents to the use of his/her name, entry, voice, statements, photographs, pictures and/or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format carried out by the Township and/or advertising/news agencies regarding the Contest or the prize, without further notice or compensation; and (d) releases the Township, its affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, the suppliers of materials or services related to the Contest, and all of its elected and appointed officials, employees, and agents (collectively the “Releasees”) from and against all liability in connection with the Contest and/or the awarding and/or use of the Contest prize.
