The Township of Uxbridge’s 2024/2025 Operating Budget and 10 Year Capital Investment Plan were approved by the Finance Committee on January 18, 2024, after an in-depth review and considerable deliberations by the Finance Committee over the past few months. Council adopted the 2024/2025 Budget based on the recommendation of the Finance Committee, at the Council Meeting on February 12, 2024.

The Township’s 2024 Budget consists of operating expenditures of $22.4 million and capital expenditures of $11.0 million, of which $17.7 million will be funded through property taxes. This represents a local property tax increase for the Municipal portion of taxes to taxpayers of 5.77% (net of growth).

“Finalizing the 2024 Township of Uxbridge Budget was a formidable task given financial pressures from rising costs and inflation. Council and staff delivered a budget that prioritizes the essential services that our residents expect and deserve,” states Deputy Mayor Willie Popp. “Similar to last year, the 2024 budget will manage our expenditures, while investing in our infrastructure and continuing to focus on the revitalization of our downtown. I thank Council and staff for their dedication and hard work to finalize the budget.”

The Township continues to be financially stable, with competitive tax rates and strong reserve funds. The Township is committed to maintaining its healthy financial status and a sustainable level of service.
