The Township of Uxbridge is pleased to announce that Site Alteration (Fill) Permit Applications are now available online through Cloudpermit, the Township’s e-permitting platform.

In 2022, the Township introduced Cloudpermit to streamline building permit applications. This user-friendly, digital system allows residents to submit and manage permit applications entirely online. With this latest enhancement, Site Alteration Permits have been added to the platform, further modernizing municipal services and improving accessibility for residents and businesses.

Cloudpermit enables users to submit applications, upload required documents, request inspections, make secure payments, ask questions, and track the status of their application in real time. The system is available 24/7 and can be accessed from any device, allowing applicants to manage their permits from home, the office, or the field. Inspectors can also conduct on-site inspections and upload images and comments remotely through the platform.

A Site Alteration Permit is required if you plan to change the elevation or grading of your property. This permit helps ensure that construction activities do not negatively impact the surrounding environment, neighbouring properties, or municipal infrastructure.

Common activities requiring a Site Alteration Permit include:

  • Importing or removing fill (soil, gravel, rock)
  • Altering existing drainage patterns
  • Leveling or grading land
  • Creating privacy berms
  • Constructing or expanding parking areas

A permit is not required for minor gardening and landscaping activities.

Applications can be started at Site Alteration and Fill Permits - Township of Uxbridge. Detailed instructions are available on that webpage to guide applicants through each step of the process.
