The Township of Uxbridge Site Alteration By-law regulates removing topsoil, placing or dumping fill, and altering the grade of land in our community. You need fill permit before beginning your project.

Applying for a Site Alteration (fill) permit

The Township of Uxbridge is pleased to offer Site Alteration (fill) permit submissions through our online e-permitting platform called Cloudpermit.  Prior to the Site Alteration (fill) permit submission, you will be prompted to apply for a pre-consultation meeting with the Chief Building Official (CBO) to review the information and determine if the proposed work is exempt or requires a site alteration permit.

If a permit is deemed necessary, a list of required supporting documents and materials will be provided following finalization of the pre-consultation meeting.  All supporting documentation must be uploaded and submitted as part of the  Site Alteration Permit application through Cloudpermit.

In addition to all required supporting documents and materials, a Site Alteration Affidavit Form must be duly executed, witnessed by a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits, and uploaded as part of the Site Alteration Permit application submission.
