Township Lifts Significant Weather Event Advisory, Dec., 15th 2025

Improved weather conditions have aided Township Road maintenance crews as they work to clear roads, sidewalks and parking lots. As a result, the Township is lifting the advisory of a Significant Weather Event that was declared on December 10th.

Drivers and pedestrians are still urged to be cautious as there are localized accumulations of melt water and the potential for icy conditions. Please drive according to the road conditions. ​

Waste collection changes over the holiday season 2025

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to inform residents in the City of Pickering, the Town of Ajax, the Municipality of Clarington, and the townships of Brock, Uxbridge and Scugog of changes to curbside waste collection dates due to the holidays.

When: Waste collection scheduled for Thursday, December 25 will be moved to the following day. This shift will continue with Friday, December 26 collection being moved to Saturday, December 27. Collection will also be shifted...
