Region of Durham celebrates Pride Month

The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham:

“Tomorrow (June 1) marks the beginning of Pride season in Canada. Here in Durham Region, we are proud to recognize Pride Month; to champion equity and celebrate the ongoing and positive contributions of Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (2SLGBTQI+) communities.

Repair Work Begins on Train Station Roof

Repairs to the Train Station roof are set to commence the week of June 3rd to repair shingle damage from the 2022 Tornado. The repairs will take approximately 5-6 business days to complete, weather depending.

Please be advised, several parking spots along Railway Street may be blocked to accommodate construction equipment and materials.

Celebrate our 50th anniversary with Cosmos seeds, the official flower of the Township of Uxbridge!

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the Incorporation of the Township of Uxbridge. To help celebrate the Township will be handing out free packets of Cosmos seeds at Town Hall.

Cosmos flowers are hardy and low maintenance. Blooming from the summer through fall, they attract birds, bees, and butterflies to your garden. They’re grown easily from seeds and will survive in hot and dry climates. Some tips for planting and maintaining Cosmos seeds include:
