With colder temperatures, the Township of Uxbridge advises residents that they are welcome to visit the Uxbridge Public Library ( 9 Toronto St. S., Uxbridge) during the following hours of operation:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Cold Weather Alert Expanded to South Durham

A Cold Weather Alert was issued yesterday for North Durham, that remains in effect. 
Based on information from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Durham Region Health Department is expanding the Cold Weather Alert for South weather zone that will be in effect overnight tonight into tomorrow morning.

Winter Parking, Snow Clearing and Driving Tips

With the colder months upon us, it is important to review these winter rules, responsibilities, and safety tips to ensure you are prepared for another winter season.

Winter Parking Reminders:

Overnight parking is not permitted on Township streets between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., from November 1 to April 1. Vehicles may be ticketed in this timeframe regardless of the weather conditions.

Uxbridge and Scugog Townships Approve Final Budget for New Animal Shelter

Uxbridge and Scugog Townships are pleased to announce significant progress on the new Animal Shelter. Following a comprehensive procurement process, a construction budget of $3.3 million has been approved by both councils, with a total project budget, including contingencies, of $3.8 million.
