Reconstruction of the South Balsam Street Stormwater Pond is set to commence November 4th. Construction crews will be working on-site throughout the winter, with construction anticipated to conclude on June 30th, 2025, weather permitting.

New Asphalt Walkway Installation at Harold Bell Memorial Park Set to Commence

Construction of a new asphalt walkway at Harold Bell Memorial Park begins October 25th and will continue until November 1st, weather permitting.
The walkway construction will connect the new Goodwood Road sidewalk to the playground within the park, providing safer and easier access to the park’s facilities.
The park and playground facilities remain open during construction.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is considering expanding its Durham Greener Homes program to help residents reduce the impact of severe weather on their home or property. This can include reducing the impact of basement flooding, wind damage, and heat stress. We are looking for input from residents who own or rent their home to help design the program.
