Regional service impacts in observance of the holiday season

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of impacts to Regional programs and services in observance of the holiday season.

Durham Region facilities and call centres

The Township of Uxbridge’s 2026/2027 Operating and 10-Year Capital Investment Plan was presented to Council on November 3, 2025. Subsequently, on November 18, 2025, the Finance Committee hosted an all-day Budget Review meeting, covering detailed budgets for both operating and capital expenditures. O Christmas tree – how can we dispose of you safely?

Whitby, Ontario – When the holidays are over, Durham Region will provide its annual curbside collection of natural Christmas trees. Natural Christmas trees will be composted with leaf and yard waste.

When and where:

• Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge: Natural Christmas tree collection will be on regular collection days during the weeks of January 5 and 12 only.

Township Declares Significant Weather Event Due to Heavy Snow Accumulation December 10, 2025

Based on the heavy snowfall and high winds creating white-out conditions, the Township wishes to advise residents that roads may be snow covered and slippery. Residents are asked to drive according to the weather conditions.

Election Compliance Audit Committee Townships of Brock, Uxbridge and Scugog

The Townships of Brock, Scugog, and Uxbridge are requesting applications from interested members of the public to serve on the Compliance Audit Committee for the 2026 Municipal Election. This committee, consisting of three (3) members, will serve all three (3) municipalities for the term of November 15, 2026, to November 14, 2030.
 
Ideally, membership on the Compliance Audit Committee shall be comprised of one (1) member of the public from each municipality to serve all three (3) municipalities.
