Notice of Bridge Work and Extended Road Closure

Effective Wednesday December 7, 2022 Due to safety concerns, the bridge on the York/Durham line, located approximately 550 metres north of Zephyr Road and crossing Mount Albert Creek, will be closed until bridge repairs are completed. The road will be closed north of Durham Road 39 in the Township of Uxbridge to south of Ravenshoe Road in the Town of East Gwillimbury. Municipal election candidates in Durham can recycle election signs

The Regional Municipality of Durham’s Sign Recycling Program provides election candidates the opportunity to recycle dedicated loads of corrugated plastic signs, free of charge following the election. Signs may be dropped off at Durham’s three waste management facilities; find one near you at durham.ca/WMF.

Clerk’s Department staff will be encouraging robust participation in the municipal election by going out to the community to connect with residents.
