Township Seeking Your Feedback on the Response to Storm Emergency

On May 21st, Uxbridge was hit by a devastating EF2 tornado that left behind extensive damage requiring months of clean-up. The Township was in a state of emergency for 6 weeks to deal with the crisis and the aftermath.

With recovery well underway, the Township is seeking residents’ feedback about the impact of the storm and the response. Residents are encouraged to complete a short, anonymous online survey. The information will help the Township plan for future emergencies.

Cat & Kitten Adoption Day September 10th

Looking for a furry addition to your family? Well, you are in luck! The Uxbridge-Scugog Animal Shelter is hosting a Cat and Kitten Adoption Day on Saturday, September 10th, from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Uxbridge-Scugog Shelter (1360 Reach St., Port Perry, ON).

Both cats and kittens will be available for adoption. Adoption applications are required and will be available onsite for you to complete. Throughout the day, staff will be reviewing applications and hosting meet and greets with the cats.

Phased In Permit Parking Approach Now Underway at Select Uxbridge Trailheads

Permit parking is now being phased in at trailheads along Concession 6 & 7 south of Goodwood Rd (Reg. Rd. 21). Permit parking is being introduced to fund future improvements to the trail system and maintain the trails and parking areas.

The system uses cellular mobile technology to register vehicles at each lot and enable payment. Permits cost $6 per day, or $75 annually.  Residents of the Township of Uxbridge can obtain a free “Resident Permit Parking Card” by registering for a permit.

New Parking Restrictions on Conc. 6 and 7 Near Trailheads

No parking signs are in place along Conc. 6 and Conc. 7 south of Reg. Rd 21 in the Township of Uxbridge to restrict on-road parking.
