About the Study

The Township of Uxbridge has initiated a project to develop an Active Transportation Plan (ATP). The Township has retained WSP Canada Group Limited with Share the Road Cycling Coalition to support the development of the ATP which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020. The goal of the ATP is to:

Uxbridge residents asked to practise additional water conservation during well work

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is asking residents in the Township of Uxbridge to practise additional water conservation efforts as the Works Department performs work on a water supply well. Residents should limit non-essential water use during this time.

When: Wednesday, July 29 to Sunday, August 2. Once work is complete, residents may return to normal water conservation efforts.

Where: Township of Uxbridge.

Why: To safely install a new pump for an existing water supply well.

Culvert Excavation Work Proceeds across Brock St.

Pedestrians routed across construction on new walkway


Construction work has been proceeding on the Brock St. culvert and the contractor will begin excavating across Brock. St. the week of July 20th. The work will close sidewalks on both sides of the street simultaneously. The contractor has created a paved walkway that connects Toronto St. with the walkway beside Circle K Convenience Store to provide a means for pedestrians to access the entire street.
