Street sweeping update - May 26th.
Both the northwest and southwest quadrants have been completed, and work has begun in the northeast quadrant. Please try to avoid parking on the streets during this time. Sand may be raked into the curb/gutter prior to street sweeping, but please do not leave in piles or pails as it will not be picked up. Any missed areas due to parked cars will be redone after all sweeping is complete.

Durham Region Health Department has started West Nile virus (WNV) surveillance and control activities for the 2020 season. WNV is a mosquito-borne disease that is spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito. Mosquitoes become infected by feeding on the blood of birds that carry the virus. The disease is not passed from person to person or from bird to person.

A portion of Brock St. W. will be closed to through-traffic, from Monday, May 25th through to the end of September. The closure is related to Brock Street Culvert Project construction work. The duration of the closure is weather dependent.
Construction crews will be working in the area between Bascom St. and Toronto St. to install shoring, excavate and install pre-cast culvert sections.
