On Jan 12th, the Province of Ontario put in place an Emergency Order and implemented additional COVID-19 Restrictions. Effective Jan. 14th, the Provincial government has implemented a Stay-at-Home order, and residents are expected to stay at home except for essential purposes such as accessing health care and medication, grocery shopping, exercise, and walking pets.

As part of ongoing forest management activities at Durham Regional Forest, select trails will be subject to temporary closures. We urge all visitors to follow the posted signage for their safety. Trails will be reopened once the harvest period is complete.
Main Tract - there will be a temporary partial closure to a portion of the Main Tract from Dec. 21 to Jan. 22, 2021.

The Township of Uxbridge would like to advise residents of a long-term road closure at Centennial Drive from Bascom Street to 95m Southwest of Bascom Street. The Road will be closed for 4 months to facilitate culvert construction. This closure is expected to last until at least May 2021.

The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents of changes to curbside blue box, green bin and garbage collection during the holidays.
In observance of Christmas Day and New Year's Day statutory holidays, curbside waste collection scheduled for Friday, December 25, 2020 (Christmas Day) will be moved to the next day Saturday, December 26, 2020 (Boxing Day). Collection scheduled for Friday, January 1, 2021 (New Year’s Day) will be moved to the next day, Saturday, January 2, 2021.

When the holidays are over, Durham Region will provide its annual curbside collection of natural Christmas trees, to be composted with leaf and yard waste.
In Uxbridge, Christmas tree collection will take place on Monday, January 4 and Monday, January 11 only.
