Residents are invited to take part in the Region’s Curbside Giveaway Day on May 4

Building on the success of last year’s event, the Curbside Giveaway Day is back. Curbside Giveaway Day is an event organized in co-operation with the local area municipalities, where residents can place unwanted items in good condition—clearly marked as “Free”—on their curb for anyone to pick up. At the end of the Giveaway Day, residents return unclaimed items to their home.

Saturday, May 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Township Seeking Feedback on a Proposed Community Garden

The Township is seeking residents’ feedback about a proposed community garden in Uxbridge.  Residents are encouraged to complete the short online survey. The information from this survey will help the Township determine whether this project should proceed while also gaining a sense of what the community envisions for this project.

Proceed with caution through construction zones

The number of construction projects increases as the weather warms up. To protect the safety of workers, other drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, all drivers are reminded to slow down and proceed with caution through construction zones or areas where workers are present.

Drivers are also reminded that speed limits are reduced in construction zones, and fines are doubled when workers are present.

Street Sweeping Set to Commence

The Township is preparing to commence annual street sweeping, which is expected to take 6-8 weeks, weather permitting. During this time, please try to avoid on-street parking.  

Please be advised that there will be no special pick-up for sand left in piles or in pails. We ask that sand is left on the roads.
