Construction at Harold Bell Memorial Park’s baseball diamond commenced this week and will continue for the next 5-6 weeks. A construction fence has been set up surrounding the diamond and will remain in place until renovations conclude.
The construction will provide various upgrades to the diamond, including the installation of a new backstop fence and overhang, new line fence and covered dugout, and new player benches and four poles.
The park remains open during construction.

The Township of Uxbridge extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Susan Self on her passing. Mrs. Self left a legacy of public service and volunteering in her community. Held annually, Rail Safety week (September 18-24) promotes awareness about rail safety and the risks of trespassing and not obeying signs and signals at crossings.
In 2022 there were 66 avoidable deaths and 43 serious injuries as a result of railway- crossing and trespassing incidents.
Tips to 'Be Rail Smart':
- Stop a safe distance from tracks and crossings
- Look both ways to ensure trains are not approaching
