The Uxbridge Downtown Revitalization project moves into the implementation stage thanks to continued funding support from the Province, the Region, the Township and the BIA.

The Uxbridge Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee has completed the final recommendations for downtown revitalization. The Uxbridge Downtown Strategic Plan and Action Plan was presented to Council on March 28th, 2022by the Project Manager, Judy Risebrough. While there are recommendations that can be actioned in the short term, larger scale actions will require a 10-15 year commitment to complete.

The Township of Uxbridge has officially ended the state of Emergency that was implemented on March 31, 2020. The Township of Uxbridge, along with much of the province, country and world declared a state of emergency in response to the spread of COVID-19.
The Township, along with the Region of Durham and the other Region of Durham Municipalities, have terminated their declared emergencies simultaneously.

Building permit applications in the Township of Uxbridge have moved on-line with the introduction of e-permitting software.
The Cloudpermit system, which is partially funded by the Provincial Government’s Municipal Modernization Fund, enhances resident’s ability to submit various permit applications through the Township by visiting www.uxbridge.ca/building/.
