The Township of Uxbridge’s 2023/2024 Operating Budget and 10 Year Capital Investment Plan were approved by the Finance Committee on February 2nd, 2023 after an in-depth review and considerable deliberations by the Finance Committee over the past few months. Marriage licence applications in the Township of Uxbridge have moved on-line with the introduction of an electronic marriage licence application system, launched March 28th.
The new on-line application system, which is funded by the Provincial Government’s Municipal Modernization Fund, will enhance applicant’s ability to apply for a marriage licence. The new system will:
- Streamline in-person appointments
- Offer applicants the convenience of applying anywhere at anytime

The Ontario government has announced provincial disaster recovery funding for the municipalities that experienced the May 2022 derecho that moved across southern Ontario with winds up to 195 km/hr. The Township of Uxbridge was left with extensive property and infrastructure damage, months’ worth of recovery, and rendered numerous homes inhabitable and at least 9,000 homes without power.
