The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham:
“Tomorrow (June 1) marks the beginning of Pride season in Canada. Here in Durham Region, we are proud to recognize Pride Month; to champion equity and celebrate the ongoing and positive contributions of Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (2SLGBTQI+) communities.

Repair Work Begins on Train Station Roof

Repairs to the Train Station roof are set to commence the week of June 3rd to repair shingle damage from the 2022 Tornado. The repairs will take approximately 5-6 business days to complete, weather depending.
Please be advised, several parking spots along Railway Street may be blocked to accommodate construction equipment and materials.
Region of Durham Commits $2.75 Million Toward Affordable Housing in Uxbridge

The Townships of Uxbridge is very pleased to announce that the Region of Durham has committed $2.75 million in funding through the At Home Incentive Program to support Kindred Works in developing 25 affordable units in Uxbridge.
