Shop local this holiday season during #ShopInDurham Week

Durham Tourism — in partnership with the Durham Economic Task Force (DETF) — ⁠are encouraging the community to shop local this holiday season during Shop in Durham Week, from November 26 to December 2.

With the colder months quickly approaching, it is important to review these winter rules, responsibilities, and safety tips to ensure you are prepared for another winter season.

Winter Parking Reminders:

Overnight parking is not permitted on Township streets between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m., from Nov. 1 to April 1. Vehicles may be ticketed in this timeframe regardless of the weather conditions.

Fundraising for Uxbridge Firefighter Memorial Statue and Garden Receives a Boost from Federal Grant

Plans to install a Firefighter Memorial Statue and Garden are closer to reality thanks to a $213,530 federal grant.  The memorial statue and garden will be installed to honour those who have died in the line of duty or while actively serving and will provide a place for reflecting and a connection to the community.
