The Mayor and Council of the Township of Uxbridge are excited to invite residents and their families to the Mayor and Council Egg Hunt on Friday, April 18th, at 11:00 a.m. Join them at Elgin Park for a fun-filled, family-friendly event featuring an exciting egg hunt, music, and prizes!

The event is free to attend and open to all residents. Those planning to attend are asked to register in advance to ensure there are enough goodies for everyone.

Township of Uxbridge to Deploy Resources for Ice Storm Tree Debris Cleanup

In response to the recent ice storm, the Township of Uxbridge is committed to assisting residents with storm cleanup efforts. Crews will be deployed to support tree debris removal in affected areas.

Once it is safe to do so, all properties in the Township of Uxbridge, with properties of 2 acres or less, may place ice-storm-related tree debris at the roadside for collection. Health Department begins 2025 West Nile virus surveillance program

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department will begin West Nile virus (WNV) surveillance and control program for the 2025 season on May 12. This program includes adult mosquito trapping to test for WNV, surveillance for larval mosquito activity, and administering larvicide in catch basins and surface water sites throughout Durham Region.
