When the Clocks Change So Should the Batteries in Your Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm

On November 3, 2024, clocks will fall back one hour at 2am. With the time change, the Uxbridge Fire Department recommends that residents not only change their clocks, but also their batteries in all smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
For your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to work efficiently the batteries must be replaced for new ones at least once a year. Changing your batteries during the time change is an easy way to remember and stay on track of when you last changed your batteries.

South Balsam Street Stormwater Pond Rehabilitation Set to Commence Nov. 4th

Reconstruction of the South Balsam Street Stormwater Pond is set to commence November 4th. Construction crews will be working on-site throughout the winter, with construction anticipated to conclude on June 30th, 2025, weather permitting.

New Asphalt Walkway Installation at Harold Bell Memorial Park Set to Commence

Construction of a new asphalt walkway at Harold Bell Memorial Park begins October 25th and will continue until November 1st, weather permitting.
The walkway construction will connect the new Goodwood Road sidewalk to the playground within the park, providing safer and easier access to the park’s facilities.
The park and playground facilities remain open during construction.
