Residents wishing to light a recreational fire or have an open-air burn now have two ways to obtain a permit. The Township has implemented an on-line application for fire permits. The application process is straightforward, and applicants are only charged once their permit is approved. Residents can also apply for a permit in person at the Fire Station during regular hours of operation. Fire permits are no longer sold at Town Hall or at the Uxbridge or Zephyr Libraries.

A portion of Brock St. W. will be closed to through-traffic, from Tuesday, April 6th for several days. The road will be closed between Toronto St. and Bascom St. The closure is related to Brock Street Culvert Project construction work. Centennial Dr. will remain closed at the same time. The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of changes to the scheduled curbside waste collection due to the upcoming statutory holidays.
Residents of Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge who have curbside collection scheduled for Friday, April 2, will have their waste collected the following day on Saturday, April 3.
