Township Lifts Significant Weather Event Advisory, Jan. 26, 2026

 Improved weather conditions have aided Township Road maintenance crews as they work to clear roads, sidewalks and parking lots. As a result, the Township is lifting the advisory of a Significant Weather Event that was declared on January 25th, 2026.

Township Declares Significant Weather Event Due to Heavy Snow Accumulation – Jan. 25, 2026

Based on the heavy snowfall and high winds creating whiteout conditions, the Township wishes to advise residents that roads may be snow covered and slippery. Residents are asked to drive according to the weather conditions.

Roads, sidewalks and parking lots will be cleared as soon as crews are able to address them.

Fire Permits Now Available Through Permit Central

The Township of Uxbridge is pleased to announce that open air fire permits are now available online through Permit Central, the Township’s permit application platform. Some exclusions will apply. For example, oversized fire permits will still require an in-person visit to the Fire Hall at 301 Brock St. West and will require an initial site inspection and a follow up inspection every two years thereafter.
