The Township of Uxbridge has officially ended the State of Emergency that was put into effect on May 21st when an EF2 Tornado caused extensive damage across the municipality. Rebuilding and restoration continue in Uxbridge to recover from the storm.
The Township has maintained the State of Emergency after the tornado while the Municipality and its residents were receiving recovery services from various levels of Government and 3rd party agencies.

Mayor Barton thanked Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor Iain Lovatt and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville Legacy Fund for providing $25,000 towards storm relief in Uxbridge. Please be advised that local road closures are in effect on Sunday, June 26th for the Run for the Diamond event in support of the local hospital.
Beginning at 7am, DRPS will be on site to manage local road closures in the vicinity of Elgin Park until approximately 11am. Road closures include Main St. between Elgin Park and Wagg Road, Elgin Park Drive and a portion of Brookdale Road and Wagg Road.
