Township of Uxbridge 2026 Operating and Capital Budget

The Township of Uxbridge’s 2026/2027 Operating and 10-Year Capital Investment Plan was presented to Council on November 3, 2025. Subsequently, on November 18, 2025, the Finance Committee hosted an all-day Budget Review meeting, covering detailed budgets for both operating and capital expenditures. The final budget was adopted on December 15, 2025, demonstrating a strong commitment to long-term financial stability while addressing future community needs.

O Christmas tree – how can we dispose of you safely?

Whitby, Ontario – When the holidays are over, Durham Region will provide its annual curbside collection of natural Christmas trees. Natural Christmas trees will be composted with leaf and yard waste.

When and where:

• Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Pickering, Scugog and Uxbridge: Natural Christmas tree collection will be on regular collection days during the weeks of January 5 and 12 only.

Township Lifts Significant Weather Event Advisory, Dec., 15th 2025

Improved weather conditions have aided Township Road maintenance crews as they work to clear roads, sidewalks and parking lots. As a result, the Township is lifting the advisory of a Significant Weather Event that was declared on December 10th.

Drivers and pedestrians are still urged to be cautious as there are localized accumulations of melt water and the potential for icy conditions. Please drive according to the road conditions. ​
